ah, surgical assessment is over! it great.. just one more write up and its all over, at least for a week :)

the weather has been soo hot! but the sun looks fabulous, i just wish there were pple keen to be out in the sun as well! too bad pple are either busy, overseas or just dun wanna be out there in the sun.. such a waste of great weather! nice sunny view from my window..

i've no idea how this pix ended up in my camera.. but i think it might be kenrick's doing when i left the cam in his bag. but yes, this is the flight off steps we've to climb everyday to get to our cars. everyone has thighs of steel now. yeah!

oh, sometime last week, we went for a buffet at grand coporthorne. it was half priced with UOB cards, hence we were there. haha. i always quite liked the decor there.. haha, nice but not too pretentious. the food was not bad, some nicer dishes around, like the soup and the beef, and of course, the desserts. haha.

the amount of prawns serene ate at one shot. tt girl can eat so much! its amazing..



the cake is damn good.. i'm not too sure what it was, but it was sooo good!




rou an was trying to stick to her no carb diet, but well, she gave up in the end, succumbing to some bread and eventually moved on to more carbs. haha




ty was being pissy cuz he thot pple were gossiping abt him.. evange still posing for the camera! as always! haha

and of course, here is the group shot! it was a really fun dinner, with many lewd jokes, esp the oneh oneh tt evange ate, likened to her eating a hairy ball, with the juices bursting out when she bites into it. old man's one some more since it has white hairs on it.. :X lol

and more food pix! on sunday, went to central for lunch with grandma and family.. went to this place called ton tom i think.. they sell lotsa big pork.. which is so much more tender and less fatty than the usual pork we have outside. so anw, this was the crab.. it was sooo good! fresh and succulent. i love crabs!!! i want moremoremore crabs. ok, but really, it was so sweet tasting.. but rather pricey.

then came the desserts, which were quite unique. there was jelly with sour plum wine.. which was a very refreshing dessert. the avocado salad ice cream was rich and creamy, with bits of avocado inside.. it really is quite a unique ice cream. in fact, they even wanted to put pepper on it, but my mom refused the waitress. and tt's my orange jelly. jelly in a hollowed orange.. i like tt it wasn't too sweet and had the mushy kinda texture with orange pulp it in..

green tea mochi! chewy and good. the green tea flavor was detectable.. ;)


and then today, i went to hooked with the guys in my cg - kenrick, weili and ian. its at a rather ulu place in like upper bukit timah..

the fish are priced like fish and co.. but are certainly much tastier! and fresher of course.. weili got the jumbo sea bass.

i had the steamed red snapper with lemon grass, white wine and dunno what sauce. the surest way to tell if the fishes are fresh is to order a steamed one! and it was fresh. haha. the sauce went so well with the fish, and the meat was tender and chunky. nice, and it came with some pan fried linguine as well :)

all in all, the food was quite reasonable for the price.. much better than fish and co for sure. and its nice to have so many types of fishes and non-fried fishes under one roof.. :)
